I am so excited to finally introduce the new website for Styleiish! I've been working on it for months now, and I have learned A LOT about creating websites and how they work behind the scenes, and now I'm super excited about the finished project. There'll be some tweeks needed I'm sure, but its finally at a place where I'm ready to launch!
As we began this year, I thought long and hard about where I wanted Styleiish to go. And as much as I love blogging and making my "styleiish" thoughts heard, I felt like I wasn't reaching my ultimate goal, which was helping women feel confident in themselves. Personal styling/shopping has always been looked at as a "luxury", but that's just not the case anymore. Through Styleiish, I want to help women find their confidence in clothing, and do it affordably!
I know I can help that new mom find clothes that will make her feel super confident, whether she's going back to work, or just going out for a much needed Ladies Night! Or that women who just wants some help organizing and putting together all the fabulous items she already has!
Whoever you are, and whatever your needs may be, we have a service that's right for you. Head over to the brand new site, at www.styleiish.com and check out the services to see what's right for you.
As always, thank you SO much for supporting Styleiish, and here's to the start of a new chapter!!

Blogging and providing style inspo over the last 7 months has been a LOT of fun! And I have learned tons about the “Style blog” world. But I've taken a little break lately to concentrate on other things.
I’ve had some exciting new things happening personally, but I also wanted to change direction with Styleiish and really take it to where I want it to go. As I work on a new website, and work towards my new goals, I’ll be taking a break from blogging. I will definitely miss it, but I’m excited for what lies ahead.
Thank you SO much for reading and checking in with Styleiish, and stay tuned for what’s coming!

This Joe Fresh dress was under $15!!
I love this dress from Joe Fresh, with its ruching at the waist and long sleeves, it is simplicity at its best! It's great worn alone (although probably not a good idea if you're headed out for a big meal! Ha!).
But it's also a great piece for layering. Keep it casual by throwing on a long cardigan or vest, or even a denim jacket. Or add some edge like I did with a little faux leather, and ankle boots. Nothing like a little faux leather (or real leather obviously!) too add some edginess to an outfit.
I gotta be honest, this dress is quite fitted, and to me, that narrows it's wear-ability to nights out (which don't happen all that often!). But by layering it in various ways, the wear-ability definitely increases.

I LOVE this vest!!!!! And the skirts!! And the moto jacket... I want it all!!
I wrote a post a while back about collaborations between retailers and designers, and how amazing they can be. There’s an exciting new one I wanted to tell you all about. It’s coming January 31st, and it’s between Target and Who What Wear (an awesome style blog).
Usually with collaborations, the price point can vary, but the idea is to keep the prices affordable. What’s so exciting about this collab is that everything is under $50!! And by looking at this pic, I can tell there’s going to be some really great pieces!
Another cool thing is that this collab isn’t just a one time thing. It’ll be ongoing with new pieces being introduced monthly! I know I’ll be checking out this new collection, hope you do too!

People ask me all the time, where would you go to buy a dress? And my answer is always, start with H&M! I have very rarely (if ever!) been disappointed with H&M. And the price is always right. This cute little dress for instance… just guess how much I got it for?! Only $14!! I know, right!! It was on sale, and they had an extra 30% off, which H&M doesn’t do often, so I’m glad I was able to get in on the deal, and get my size.
If you're wanting to do some shopping, now is a great time to score some great deals! There's a lot of "junk" in the stores during this post Christmas clearance, but if you don't mind spending some time to look through the sale racks, you could get yourself some great deals.

Obsessed with this Old Navy coat!!
Winter is not my favorite season. I don’t mind cooler weather, but I like it when it’s just cold enough for boots and sweaters, like Fall or early Spring… winter is just not fun for fashion. It’s no wonder that the name of the fashion game these days is comfort and warmth!!But if you’re willing to brave the cold, and wear something other than a big comfy sweater, there are some winter trends worth trying:
- Winter white is so big right now! White tops or white jeans, or even wearing white on white is so on trend. I really like the idea of it, although I haven’t given it a try yet. A cream sweater and white jean combo looks awesome for winter!
- Pastels are in for winter too. I find this a little confusing because I’ve always associated the light hues of pastel colours with Spring time. Not sure if I can jump on this trend… my brain just can’t register it!
- I’ve seen a lot of off-the-shoulder or shoulder baring looks as well. This I love! I think showing a little shoulder is a cute look, and I’m always down for it, whether its trendy or not!
- Some of the Fall trends are still hanging around as well. We’re still seeing a lot of suede and fringe, and plaid is still here too!

How pretty is this watch?! Now, I can’t take credit for finding it, I actually found it on Ali Fedotowsky’s blog, (aliluvs.com). She’s mentioned it on there many times, and I never paid too much attention until last month. I was reading a post of hers and she linked the watch again… and this time I actually clicked it and was redirected to the Nordstrom website, where this luxe looking watch was only $22!! And it was in stock!
Now that I have it in my hands, I can understand why she loves it so much! It’s nice and solid (doesn’t feel like what you’d think a $22 watch would feel like!), and the rose gold colour is so pretty. I’m partial to bigger watches, so even the size is perfect for me (Note: if you like more dainty watches, this is not for you, it’s pretty big).
And of course the best part is the price tag! I wanted to add a rose gold watch to my collection but I wasn’t too keen on having to shell out big bucks to do it… so I’m super glad Ali posted this watch! Thanks so much Ali!!

How pretty is this dress?! It’s from the Gap Factory Store, and I just fell in love with the print when I first saw it. The colours just felt fresh and different for winter, and I’m really into the wines/burgundies lately. Plus the long sleeves and pockets were added bonuses.
The only down-side to this dress is that it’s a tiny bit shorter than I generally like to wear. If it were a couple inches longer, I’d probably feel a bit more comfortable… but I think I’ll go with ballet flats next time, instead of heels, and I’m sure that’ll up the comfort level! It’s just much too pretty not to wear!

Poncho is Lauren Ralph Lauren
Ok, ponchos, love 'em or hate 'em? They've definitely been having a moment in the spotlight, and I've seen some that I really loved (still dreaming about the olive green one with faux leather piping from Old Navy). But I just wasn't sure if ponchos were something (like OTK boots) that I liked on other people, but not on me. Well lucky me, I was given a couple ponchos over the holiday season as gifts, and I actually like them!
First and foremost, they are SO comfy! I mean, it's like wearing a blanket! And second, they can look quite chic when worn the right way (I just have to figure out what that way is!). This one I'm wearing is super soft and I just love the thin, luxurious quality of it. Being a poncho newbie, I decided to keep the rest of my look simple and just paired it with a white layering T from the Gap and these Roxy jeggings I've had forever. I went with these basic black boots, in an attempt to mix black and brown, something I've wanted to try but always shied away from.
I have to say, I don't think ponchos are the most flattering things in the world, but hey, I guess sometimes comfort has to win. And in fairness, they probably are less blanket-like when belted (something I need to try doing!).
My final thought on ponchos... it's not love, but I definitely like them!! What do you all think of them?

Dressed head to ankle in Old Navy!!
Well not quite everyday, but it definitely seems to be the colour scheme I've been choosing lately!! There's something easy about putting together basic pieces in these shades.. it just works.
This sweater/coat/pants combo for instance, looks totally on point, yet it's so effortless! I was obsessed with both the sweater and the coat when I saw them on Old Navy's website, and luckily enough I was able to get my hands on the sweater before it sold out in my size, and I received the coat as a Christmas gift (love it!). At first I didn't intend to wear them together, but with pattern mixing being so in these days, I thought why not?! (And the windowpane print on both pieces is everywhere as well!). I finished the look with my trusty skinny cropped pants (also by Old Navy!), and some peep-toes, and that's all you need!
For this look, I went with a basic black tank dress from Zara, and topped it with a marbled cardi from H&M... I added these ankle boots from Target, a scarf from Dynamite, and voila, another on point, yet effortless look! An added bonus is that this whole look is under $70, including the shoes!! Zara has some basic pieces that are surprisingly affordable, and this tank dress was only $19! And the Sam & Libby booties I picked up last year this time from Target on clearance! (Gotta keep those eyes open for the deals!)
Lacking in colour definitely does not mean lacking in style!

Ornament from Indigo
Wow, 2016 is here! It was so nice to end 2015 with some serious quality time with friends and family. 2015 was a great year with many amazing memories made, and I look forward to making even more spectacular ones in 2016.
The beginning of a new year is always a good time to look ahead and set some goals. Not resolutions per se, but just having some thoughts about what you want to, where you want to go, and how you're gonna get there. Whether its something as simple as "trying to be more patient" or something more ambitious like "learning a new language"; setting goals and planning how to achieve them is crucial on the road to success!
I'm in the process of setting some goals myself! Among them, is my goals for Styleiish. I have many thoughts and ideas of where I want to go with this, and as I filter through and make decisions, I plan to enjoy the process and continue to have fun.
Take some time to set a few goals for yourself this year. And don't let the fear of failure hold you back; remember, you miss every shot you don't take ( I think Wayne Gretzky said that, and I just love it!!
Happy New Year to you all, and be sure to sparkle a little in 2016!!
